Hi, I have been working hard to set up my blacksmithing area. This will allow me to introduce blacksmithing techniques to my products.

As you will see by looking at my work I am very fond of medieval and gothic designs. I have built two lovely gothic style mirrors from reclaimed pine incorporating hand crafted, ironwork candle holders. I took them to a craft fair the very next day to show them off and they sold before I had a chance to take a proper photograph. Mustn't complain though, more to come keep watching.

I have been building up my blacksmithing tools for quite awhile now I chose my piece of mild steel then I proceed with lots of hammering and shaping to get the desired effect. . Bringing up the temperature of the metal beyond cherry red allows it to be more pliable. Then after waxing I add the new metal shape, candle holder, shelf bracket, etc to the woodwork. The woodwork by this stage will be completelysanded and waxed/oiled.

A good weekend spent at Maidstone town and county Show.  That was my first time exhibiting with Oakleigh Fairs and I had a good time.

New products are being made for my website.  Over the next week or so you will see more cheese boards, shelves, and a new cupboard design.

Also I will be introducing personalised childrens furniture and a sign making service.  For now I have just tidied up my online shop also introducing a few new stools for you to view and hopefully purchase.

Christmas is almost upon us.  This past year I have spent a lot of time doing craft fairs.  For 2011 I will be focusing my attentions on the website and internet sales.

After a fantastic holiday we are up and running again new items are being created and will be added soon. 

 Hi thanks for visiting my site.  Launched for the first time on Sunday 25th of July 2010 at 20.15.  I have been working on the site for the last few months and its been a learning curve.  I have tried to make the site as easy on the eyes as possible and also it should be quite quick to load on to your screen.

Yesterday I forced my web site address onto a lot of unsuspecting visitors at the Hare Hatch and Sheeplands Craft fair.  I would like to thank you for visiting if you did actually manage to read the minuscule address slip.

Alan Davidson Woodwork is an established business that, up to this point, has been selling it's items of hand made furniture through craft markets and on line auction sites.  The obvious next step is this web site where you will be able to purchase directly any item shown in the on line shop. 

Your chosen items can be paid for in two ways, first through paypal which is a safe online purchase solution.  Having chosen an item, once added to your cart, you can choose to continue shopping or go to check out, at this point you will be redirected to paypal where you can make your purchase.  As an alternative you can contact me and I can take a credit card payment over the phone. 

Once your items have been payed for they will be packaged and sent to you by courier with your copy of the credit card receipt and receipt of purchase.
